How should I revise the whole NEET syllabus in 25 days? Can anyone give a time table?

 Do’s

1. Brush up all the basic concepts in every subject. Concentrate on graphs, flow charts and schematic diagrams to memorize concepts quickly. Also, write down important and recurring formulas, theorems and flowcharts on a white board/chart paper in your room. This way you can keep revising them anytime you like.

2. Time management is important, so do not forget to take many mock tests during the last ten days. Attempt at least one paper per day to know your strengths and weaknesses. Online Mock Tests like have performance trackers which give detailed analytics according to chapter, question and time.

While taking the mock tests:
• Avoid guesswork; as a wrong answer gets you a negative mark.
• Try to distribute time equally among all the sections in the paper.
• Attempt all the questions that you are confident of at first.
• Take on the difficult time consuming questions later on.

3. Clear all your last- minute queries and doubts with your mentors, teachers or friends help. It is very important that you enter the examination hall without any ounce of doubt in your head. So utilize all the time you have to get all your queries solved.

4. PCB problem solving should be your priority during the last ten days. During PCB preparation, learn to divide the time between all the problems as well.

Don’ts

1. Do not attempt to revise chapters individually during the last ten days. Also, do not start a new chapter afresh during the last ten days.

2. Do not start reading from new books that you haven`t studied before. Stick to the books that you have already studied from.

3. Do not focus on one subject for an entire day. Try to shuffle between subjects.

4. Do not saturate your brain too much and keep taking study breaks at reasonable intervals of time.

How do I manage tests along with revision of the entire syllabus of the NEET? What schedule should be followed?

Revision, test, analysis and repeat.

Follow this routine daily till the exam day.

Read 2–3 chapter of NCERT daily and nothing else for biology. NCERT itself is more than enough for NEET. Rest new thing you will get itself from test papers which you will solve in the rest of the time.

Read only formulas of physics and physical chemistry. Till now you must have remembered the applications of that formulas. Read some formulas from your formula copy daily.

For organic chemistry read only those reaction which are given in NCERT again and again. For inorganic chemistry read NCERT like you do for biology and remember all the orders of ip, radius etc.

Now what you have to do as your daily routine

1)As soon as you wake up - give 1 test with a timer.

2)Check the answers and analyse the paper.

This you have to do in you first half of the day

3)Take rest in the afternoon

4)Then in the evening, pick up NCERT and read 2–3 chapter in one go.

5)Then pick chemistry or physics give 2 hours to each subject.

This will be enough for your preparation.

Wanna solve MCQ then solve previous year question of all the different medical exams.

Best wishes to you

A smart revision technique will save you a lot of time and boost your confidence as well.

A smart revision technique will save you a lot of time and boost your confidence as well.

So here’s what I did:

(I’m assuming that you have a very good grasp on every topic & have to revise whole 11 & 12 syllabus)

  1. Physics
  • Revising from a formula notebook ,made yourself, having formulas and important points of each chapter is the best way.
  • But if you haven’t made it, just go through formulas & highlighted points in your notes.
  • Solve those questions which you weren’t able to solve in one go last time.
  • While solving questions always mark them according to their difficulty level & number of attempts you made to solve them, so that next time you solve only those questions which you weren’t able to do previous time.

2. Chemistry

  • Just go through important points and formulas.
  • I would suggest to make some flashcards for organic and inorganic reactions.
  • For doing questions, same as in physics.

3. Biology

  • Just go through highlighted points from your notes/coaching modules/NCERT.
  • First take a whole look of chapter in just 5min. Then go deeper in concepts and diagrams.
  • Try to explain diagrams and concepts to yourself, you’ll recall topic much better.

So these are my tried and tested ways of revising…

Hope it helps :)

What is the best way to revise syllabus during NEET preparation?

I am answering about how to REVISE syllabus and I am assuming that you have an average hold in the subjects as you have read them previously.

Choose your panic subject and give it a fixed time. I will elaborate. I had problems with inorganic chemistry and few chapters of biology. And the evening time was most productive for me to understand things as I woke up late and studied late till night. So, I made a plan of 25 days and divided the chapters of inorganic chemistry and entire biology into small parts to read everyday. I devoted entire evening for that.

Easy-peesy subject plan. There is always a subject which seems easier to you than your friends. That subject is your stronghold. For me , It was Physics. I knew that even if I don't solve the questions of physics daily, I will still fetch a decent mark in that subject. Once you have known your stronghold, assign your non productive time to itI woke up late in the morning and took time to orient myself. Hence I used to solve physics in the morning. That helped to orient my brain too.

Once you have assigned time to your fear and stronghold, Reach out for remaining subjects.

  • Physics :Thermo, Optics, Gravity, Modern Phy, EMI
  • Chemistry : Organic, Kinetics, Electrochem, Solutions, Atomic structure, Noble gases, Halogen rxn, Lithium family and others . Its very difficult to assign important topics to chemistry because everything seems important in this subject.
  • Biology: Ecology, Reproduction, Molecular basis of Inh. , Biotech, Plant kingdom , 5 kingdom classification, Cell and overview of plant an human physiology.

I wrote the word 'overview' because plant and animal physiology will take multiple attempts to revise.

AND

These are *important chapters* according to me because I was good with the remaining chapters. But you can have a completely different perspective. Please use the above list as an example and not as a reference. Make a list of your own and stick to it.

This will be the backbone of your revision.

  1. Reading/solving weak subject in your dominant time
  2. Reading/solving strong subject in your weak time.
  3. Making a list of other remaining chapters and assign them the leftover time.

For few small yet high yeilding chapters like biomolecules, polymers, chemistry in everyday life, cockroach, (first chapter in XI Biology) etc, make it a habit to read them like stories before going to sleep. They are good sleep inducers and repeated reading will make a strong base in your mind without any effort and give you a peaceful sleep too. Dont make their notes rather scribble in the NCERT so that you see it everytime you open the book.

Time is precious but take a break. Remember you are not a robot. Don't expect yourself to be able to stick 100% to your plan. There will be days when you cant read and want a break. Go out for a walk or eat good food and just sleep. Don't watch a movie because it will affect the seriousness of you preparation. When you are back to form, return to studies.

Always keep 2 weeks in hand. Again, this is a personal opinion. You are free make modifications to it according to your need. But make sure that you keep some time.

If NEET is on Sept 13 (just an example), make a plan till August 30. And assign time to your subjects in such a manner that everything gets covered within April 30. By this, you will also get an average per day reading time.

You can see many of your friends ahead of you and many friends lagging behind. But if you plan a perfect per-day reading time, all these things will stop to matter. And you will know that you will finish your revision before 2 weeks. More confidence !!!!!

Once you complete revising, give as many MOCK TESTS as you can. Make sure they are full course tests because part-syllabus tests will be of no help in last moment.

Believe in god. Don't waste time to think about backup plans if you fail. See, no one in the world can give a guarantee of your passing and failing in NEET. But introspecting about negative consequences will downgrade your confidence and will make you more closer towards failure

Best of luck. Hope that you will stand in your own white coat soon

How do I plan a good revision schedule for the NEET?

As very less amount of time is left that is hardly 3 months, you should solely concentrate on NCERT for biology at this moment.

Take out 15 to 20 days in january or February to revise and memorize NCERT thoroughly for biology. Both 11th and 12th NCERT.

Study NCERT line by line, ask yourself questions from each line and paragraph. Don't skip even a single diagram, chart, labelling, summary of even figures in numbers. Memorize every single detail of NCERT. Memorize the labellings in diagrams.

This can be done in 3 weeks or 20days maximum. Study it in such a way that you have a nice grip over the subject and you become very confident to score well in biology.

For the rest two subjects that is physics and chemistry, keep solving questions. Keep solving as many questions as you can. Don't waste your time in reading theory, just keep solving questions all the time.

You should not get bored so keep switching between subjects and topics. For eg- solve 1 topic of physics 3 hours, then switch to chem for 2 hours, then switch to physics again 3 hours different topic and then again chemistry 3 hours different topic.

Make sure you get a nice grip on important topics such as mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics, equilibrium etc.

For this you need to solve a variety of questions which involve different formulas and concepts, don't stick to just one concept.

Try questions of various degree of difficulty, don't just do hard questions you'll get depressed, don't only do easy ones they won't come in exams mostly, do good questions.

Do questions from last several years papers.

If you have joined a coaching class then make sure you don't miss even a single test of the test series, even if you have not studied for the test, just go and give the test, Atleast you'll go through so many questions. Trust me it helps.

Apart from all this, keep your personal life sorted. Avoid negative people, keep yourself motivated, share problems with parents and keep working hard. Don't stop. Keep asking doubts from your teachers, you never know what may come in exam.

Keep working hard, all the best!
